The room was spacious with a lovely big bath that added a touch of luxury. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the peaceful location, which made for a restful night.
The service could be improved, as I found the staff to be a bit unresponsive during my stay.

We had a lovely family stay where we enjoyed some stunning walks around the River Nith. The peaceful atmosphere paired with beautiful scenery made for a great escape. Dinner was delicious, and the kids loved the local attractions we explored nearby.
In my children’s opinion, the hotel could have offered more kid-friendly dining options.

missingWrote a review on Oct 03picturesque viewsculinary delightfacilities neglect
The Classic Double room offered stunning views of well-maintained gardens, providing a picturesque backdrop for relaxation. The extensive Scottish breakfast, featuring haggis, stood out as a culinary delight, catering to various tastes and setting the right mood for the day.
This place isn't your typical country house hotel and spa. it's clear that the facilities are in dire need of refurbishment, including some peeling paint. The garden spa, rather unimpressive, consists of a couple of sheds and an out-of-order hot tub, showing signs of neglect. If you're visiting in the winter, the original windows let in a chill, so don’t forget to pack a jumper for dining. The lack of consistent upkeep in common areas detracts from the overall experience.
